There are two decision-making bodies that define
and direct the social endeavours of Open Forum.
These are called the Management Board and the
Governing Board.
Management Board
The Management Board (MB) defines and reviews
the Programme and Activities of Open Forum and
is involved in implementing programmes in grassroots
communities, human resources, the civil society
organizations, partner organizations, etc. The
chief objective of the MB is to make Open Forum
more synergistic; it does this by strengthening
the relationship between the Open Forum and
its Programme & Activities. The MB creates
a shared understanding of a Open Forum's current
activities, its strengths and its weaknesses.
It then addresses the most strategic issues
facing the organisation. Apart from this, the
MB has reviewed the organizations social &
operational portfolio and clustered programmes
& services into nine social sectors. The
MB assesses what unique value a organization
adds to a particular social development sector
and, conversely, what unique value the Open
Forum can bring to that programme & Activities.
Besides President, Vishwendra N. Thakur, the
MB comprises Kumar Aman, Santosh Bhardwaj, Suresh
Gaur, Jitendra Mishra, Jyoti K. Jha, Pratibha
K. Dutta, and Pankaj Poddar.

Open Forum in India and across South Asia. The

in the areas of Human Resources, Finance, Legal,
